Book Contest: Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost

Its been awhile since I've held a contest and so with my recent obsession with Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress Series I've decided to hold a contest in which I share my love with all of you. The Night Huntress series follows Cat Crawfield, who is a dhampir (half vampire, half human), and Bones who is a vampire that she initially tries to kill. The two are great on the page together and share many laugh out loud lines. Add to that an amazing set of secondary characters and you get three books that I couldn't put down and that I pretty much shut myself away from the world for three days in order to read.

The three books in the series are:

Halfway to the Grave (my review)
One Foot in the Grave (my review) and
At Grave's End (my review)

So now onto the rules of my contest there are several ways to enter (or get multiple entries if you want to increase your chances to win)

1. Leave a comment telling me who your favorite literary vampire is (and please also leave the name of the book I might want to check it out if I don't know the vamp!) for 1 entry
2. Leave a comment telling me who your favorite on screen vampire is (television or film) for 1 entry
3. Blog about this contest, be sure to leave the URL for your post, for 1 entry....for those who don't have a blog send an email to a friend who might be interested and CC me on it. My email is irisheyz_5 AT yahoo DOT com
4. Subscribe to my blog....or if you are already subscribed you can get 1 entry

This contest is open to everyone and the books will be ordered from Amazon.com (or UK or Canada) or Powells or another online bookshop if you have a preference, just let me know in the comments. This contest will be open until 07 March 09 and winners will be notified on my blog shortly there after...so please check back to see if you've won and send me your shipping information. If you have any questions then just send me and email or leave me comment. Good luck to everyone!

Vampires are my favorite subject!

My favorite literary vampire is a toss-up between Bones (J. Frost's Night Huntress series naturally!) and Lestat (Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles.)

On-screen vampire is Spike (Buffy et al) for television, and Gerard Butler's Dracula (Dracula 2000) in movies, though Stuart Towsend's Lestat (Queen of the Damned) is a close second.

Best literary vampire - I've read some of the Sookie Stackhouse series and am loving it so anyone from that is a good choice. I love the humor.

Wow! I'm so excited for this. :) I'm not much of a movie watcher, so no favorite on screen vampire, but my favorite literary on is Alice Cullen, from twilight.

m-tigerc said...

My favorite vampire in a movie is Selene in Underworld.

My favorite vampire in a books is a difficult question. I'd have to say Acheron from the Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon, but he isn't a vampire but I still love him so much. I would also like to say Rose from Vampire Academy because I really like her character and how she doesn't take much shit, but unfortunately she is a dhampire. I really don't know who would be my favorite vampire. I also really love Cat and Bones. Especially bones, he can have his way with me anytime. ;] There are more than mentioned above, but then this entry would start to get really lengthy.

Hi, so--I was wondering about the 4th book--out now, and if you might know where I could find it and/or maybe link me to a copy of it? I just blasted my way through the first three (delicious) and am now in a once again impotent rage because I've run out of series. I would buy it but I just ran out buying the last three, and I can't find it for free anywhere, not even on any torrents...so I was wondering if you could help? Yeah.
Also--I think you'd love the Anita Blake: Vampire Hunter series by Laurell K. Hamilton, let me know if you'd like the first two or three books to try out (there are...17? now, I think, in all.) I know some good torrs.
Erm, thanks, I hope. And cheers.
Phoenix.

Maybe your local library has an electronic copy that you can read. Other than that I don't know where you could legally get a copy of the book without buying it. I do know that it was just released in stores (I got my copy yesterday woo!) and its only $7...so it really doesn't break the bank to buy it.
